The Association of Food Scientists and Technologists (India) [AFST(I)], established in 1957, is one of the largest professional and educational organizations, with approximately 5,000 members—comprising food scientists and technologists from around the world. AFST(I) membership is open to all food professionals involved in academia, industry, and other related fields.
The association has over 45 chapters across the country, with the Delhi Chapter being one of the most prominent and active. The AFST(I) Delhi Chapter operates through its local Executive Committee, which regularly discusses various initiatives to enhance the Association's visibility through membership drives, technical seminars, and other activities aimed at promoting the organization.
