Dr. Dinkar B. Kamble is currently working as an Assistant Professor (Food Science & Technology) at the School of Agriculture, Indira Gandhi National Open University, New Delhi. He has obtained Ph.D. in Food Science and Technology from the National Institute of Food Technology, Entrepreneurship and Management (NIFTEM), Kundli. He did his B. Tech (Food Technology) from Vasantrao Naik Marathwada Agriculture University, Parbhani and an M. Tech in Chemical Technology (Food Technology) from Laxminarayan Institute of Technology, Nagpur (Now Laxminarayan Innovation Technological University, Nagpur). He worked as an assistant professor for four years at different institutions like the College of Food Technology, Nanded; VFSTR, Guntur; and MIT ADT University, Pune.
He is an active member of various organizations, including the Association of Food Scientists and Technologists (India)—AFSTI, Vijnana Bharati, and All India Agricultural Students Association, and was elected as the National Vice President (AFSTI) for the year 2021-22.
He has published 18 research papers in national and international journals and 6 book chapters. His current areas of research are grain processing, alternative proteins and modifications, novel processing, and new product development.

Brief ProfileChapter Treasurer, AFSTI Delhi
Dr. Vipasha Taneja is a dedicated PhD Research Scholar at the Food Customization and Research Laboratory, Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Delhi. Her academic journey is marked by exceptional merit and scholarly commitment. She earned her PhD with a perfect CGPA of 10/10 from IIT Delhi in 2025. Prior to that, she completed her M.Tech in Food Safety and Quality Management from the National Institute of Food Technology Entrepreneurship and Management (NIFTEM-Kundli) in 2018, securing a CGPA of 9.31/10 and receiving a Gold Medal along with a Merit Scholarship. Her foundational degree, B.Tech in Food Technology and Management, was also completed from NIFTEM-K in 2016 with a CGPA of 8.34/10.
Her professional experience spans academia, research, and industry. She served as an Assistant Professor at Vignan University (VFSTR), Andhra Pradesh from July 2018 to April 2019. She has contributed actively to the food science community, holding positions such as Executive Committee Member (2024–25) and Treasurer (2025) of the AFST(I) Delhi Chapter. Dr. Taneja has enriched her research profile through internships at prestigious institutes including Defence Food Research Laboratory (DRDO), NIFTEM-Kundli, and GlaxoSmithKline Consumer Healthcare Pvt. Ltd.
Dr. Taneja has an impressive record of international exposure. She conducted collaborative research at the University of Minnesota, USA, in July 2024 and presented her work at the IFT Annual Event and Expo 2024 in Chicago. Previously, she served as a Visiting Scientist at the University of Georgia, Griffin Campus (2017), and as a Visitor Trainee at the Institute for Food Safety and Health (IFSH-IIT), Chicago (2015).
She has been honored with several prestigious awards, including the DST-INSPIRE Fellowship by the Government of India and the Research Scholar Travel Award (RSTA) by IIT Delhi. Her achievements also include being one of the All India Top 100 Students selected by the Ministry of HRD to witness the Republic Day Parade from the Prime Minister’s Box in 2018. She also emerged a winner in the National Institute of Agricultural Extension Management (NIAEM) B-Plan competition.
Dr. Taneja is actively engaged with several professional bodies. She is a student member of the Institute of Food Technologists (IFT) and a life member of the Association of Food Scientists and Technologists of India (AFST[I]), the Indian Society of Agricultural Engineers (ISAE), and the Biotechnology Research Society of India (BRSI).
In addition to her academic and research excellence, she is a well-rounded individual with a strong passion for cultural and social activities. She is a trained classical dancer, vocalist, and founding president of Nrityarat – the Indian Classical Dance Society at IIT Delhi. She has also held leadership roles as Mess Secretary at Kailash Hostel, IIT Delhi, and as a coordinator of the Technical Project Expo at Vignan University. A district-level badminton player, yoga enthusiast, and marathon runner, Dr. Taneja has been actively involved in social initiatives such as SAMADHAN (IIT Delhi) and MANAVATA (NIFTEM-K), focusing on education for underprivileged children.
Dr. Vipasha Taneja’s academic, professional, and extracurricular contributions reflect her dedication, leadership, and commitment to excellence in food technology and community service.
