On October 18, 2022, the Department of Food Engineering and Technology at Tezpur University conducted a one-day offline commemoration of World Food Day in collaboration with the AFST (I) Mysuru and Tezpur Chapters. Inauguration of program started from 9.30 am, where Prof Dhruba Kumar Bhattcahary, Hon’ble Vice Chancellor, Tezpur University, Prof Vimal Katiyar, Dean R&D IIT Guwahti, Prof PP Sahu, Dean School of Engineering Tezpur university, Prof LS Badwaik, HOD, Food Engineering and Technology, Tezpur University and Prof P Mishra, President, Tezpur Chapter were present on dais. Prof. Vimal Katiyar, Dean, Reasearch and Development, Indian Institute of Technology Guwahati, Assam, India delivered the keynote talk, while Mr. Pradip Dwivedi, CEO of NutrelisAgro Ltd., gave a lecture as part of the industry-academic dialogue. Around 90 students participated in a number of student-focused competitions, such as flash presentations, quiz, recipe competitions, photography competitions, and taste your senses.
