Food and Nutrition Security – Role of Small and Medium Food Processing Industries, Commemorating the BIRTH CENTENARY CELEBRATIONS OF Late Shri P.V. Surya Prakasa Rao garu On Monday, 21st June. 2021 at 10.00 a.m. (Online symposium). During the half a day online symposium eminent speakers namely Dr. V. PRAKASH, Former Director, CSIR-CFTRI, Mysuru, President IUFOST has kindly consented to deliver the Key Note address on India’s Sustainable and Resilient Food Industries: Growing Strength of Small and Medium Scale Entrepreneurs, Dr. B. SESIKERAN, Former Director, National Institute of Nutrition, Hyderabad, has kindly consented to be the Chief Guest & deliver the popular lecture on Nutraceuticals for boosting immunity and Dr. ANANDA RAMAKRISHNAN, Director, Indian Institute of Food Processing Technology, Tanjavur, has kindly consented to be the Guest of Honour and deliver a lecture on Opportunities and Technologies for Small and Micro Food Processing Industries. An Essay Writing Competition (Topic: New & Innovative Food Processing Technologies for preservation and value addition) has been proposed for students pursuing Bachelors’ or Post graduate studies in Food Science, Food Technology and Nutrition. Selected three participants can be allowed to present their essays during the symposium and based on the content and skills of presentations, these 3 students will be presented with cash awards.
