About Us

AFST(I) Chennai Chapter is head quartered at Food Technology Division under Department of Bio Technology, Anna University, Chennai. The chapter was restarted and launched on March 2nd, 2018. Currently, the chapter has over 150 full time members and around 50 student members.

AFSTI Chennai chapter has been publishing newsletters since 2018 and over 22 issues covering food science, processing, technology, regulatory and upcoming trends have been brought out.

It has conducted over 42 events including webinars, conferences, seminars, competitions, exhibitions and workshops across the Tamil Nadu state, in collaboration with academic institutions, FSSAI India, Department of Food safety, Government of Tamil Nadu and professional associations such as NSI, NetProFaN and SICCI.
